Character Rocks at Cisco Elementary! The character program at Cisco Elementary is displayed throughout the school. All the students and faculty are involved in our extensive character program. Our program is based off of six character words; responsibility, respect, caring, citizenship, trustworthiness and fairness. I have listed a few of the activities we do at the elementary. Each Friday during morning announcements names are called of students who have displayed one of the six characters during the week. During character education on Friday, they will receive a coupon to put on the character wall showing the character trait they displayed. For each character trait they receive a rock and then begin receiving dog tags showing all the “good” character they have shown around the elementary campus. The students love this character activity. Each six weeks we focus on one of the six character words. I also present a character lesson to each grade level each week. 1st 6 weeks - Responsibility 2nd 6 weeks - Citizenship
Each grade level also presents a program once throughout the school year. The programs are created and directed by Kathy Conring, Counselor, Sheila Johnson, Physical Education Teacher and Cindy Webb, Music Teacher. Below I have included our character theme song.
